A Hawaiian Proverb states, "Malama I Ke Aina, A malama ke aina ia oe!" This means to care for the land and the land will care for you. It is our kuleana ( responsibility ) as an educational preservation, restoration, and farm forest organization, to protect these royal & historical lands. Many locations are ones that the Hawaii State Archeologist deemed of the greatest historical value to our island, community and to our culture.
